Police Warning about Parking
Fri 08 Feb 2019West Midlands police have asked me to pass on the following information to parents and carers:
They have received numerous complaints from local residents about unsafe and obstructive parking on pavements and grass verges on Lutley Grove, Adams Hill and Trimpley Road. They will be monitoring the situation and will issue parking tickets to those who are found to be parking illegally and causing an obstruction.
Please park sensibly and safely. If necessary park further away from school and walk. If possible leave the car at home and walk to and from school. This would be healthier for the children to get exercise and would reduce congestion around the school and local roads. Please respect the local residents who live near to school. Thank You.

Times Tables Rock Stars
Tue 05 Feb 2019Children in Year2 -6 enjoyed the launch of times tables rock stars last week. They now all have a login that they can use to access the app at home. They have already tried it in school.
Please encourage them to go on and play for 10 minutes each evening. It will make a huge difference to their times tables knowledge and in turn their maths skills.
Thank you.

Internet Safety Week
Tue 05 Feb 2019This week in school we have been talking to the children about ways to stay safe on the internet. We have had an assembly and class teachers have also delivered activities in class. Please make sure that your children are monitored closely when using the internet or playing games through the internet. They should never give their personal information out and should only communicate with people they know. They are vulnerable to inappropriate users.
Thank you.

Please remind your children about road safety and where and how to cross safely. We will also be reminding the children in school. Thank You.

Happy New Year
Thu 10 Jan 2019It was good to welcome the children back on Tuesday. Many of them were pleased to be back at school to see their friends and hopefully to get back on track with their learning! Spring Term is a busy term with lots of learning to do. Please help your child by ensuring they are in school on time every day. Arriving late means missed learning time and disruption to the office, the teachers and the children already in class.
We want all children to achieve their full potential and good attendance is an important part of this success.

Woodgate Voices Christmas Concert
Thu 20 Dec 2018Last night our choir, Woodgate Voices, performed to over 140 parents, grandparents and friends in their first Christmas Concert. They entertained us with a mixture of traditional Carols and more modern songs and readings. It was great to see many of the audience joining in with the well known Carols.
Proceeds from ticket sales are going towards the cost of the new stage lighting. Thanks to the generosity of visitors last night we raised another £89.68p in a bucket collection. This will help towards the cost of a stage for the choir to perform on. A big thanks to Mrs Tabberner, Mr. Davis, Mrs Ansell, Mr Ranger and Mr Jones for putting the show together and hosting so well.

Christingle Service at St. Michael's Church.
Thu 20 Dec 2018One of my highlights of the school year is the KS2 Christingle service at St. Michael's Church. This year didn't disappoint. The sight of nearly 200 children holding lit Christingles and singing 'Away in a Manger' gave me goose bumps! The children were impeccably behaved adding to the sense of formality and purpose of the occasion. I am truly proud to be Head Teacher for our wonderful children. -
Christmas Productions
Thu 20 Dec 2018We have enjoyed three wonderful productions from Year 3, Year 2 and Reception. They all reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas. The children sang, spoke and acted brilliantly. Thank you to all of the staff that worked so hard putting the performances together and to the families that came to see them perform.
