English Curriculum Intent

Woodgate Primary School is passionately dedicated to developing our children’s understanding and use of the English language. Our children will read fluently, widely and often for both pleasure and information. They will develop an appreciation for our rich and varied literary heritage across genre and culture.

Our children will write clearly and accurately for different contexts, purposes and audiences. They will have the confidence and skills to discuss, argue and elaborate on their ideas and experiences.
