It's Good to be Green!
Fri 26 Oct 2018If your child brought home one of these certificates today you should be very proud of them. It means that they have been on Green or Gold on the Behaviour Zone board at least 90% of the time this half term. Well done to everyone that achieved this. Lots of children have been on Green or Gold every single day!

Year 4 Harvest Performance
Thu 18 Oct 2018Well done to Year 4 staff and pupils. They performed a wonderful Harvest Festival which was jam packed with information, songs, readings and acting. The clear confident voices were heard throughout the hall and the singing was beautiful, with a good mixture of new songs and old favourites. The Harvest food that has been collected will be donated to the Food bank at St. Michael's Church for local families in need.
If you know anyone that may benefit from a food parcel please call into school for a confidential referral form.

Parents' Lunch for Year 2 and Year 5.
Wed 17 Oct 2018We had a wonderful turn out yesterday for parents' lunch.
The children really enjoyed having an adult with them to enjoy the roast dinner.
Parents particularly enjoyed the chocolate concrete and pink custard, telling us that it reminded them of their own school days.
A big thank you to the cooks for preparing these extra meals.
Watch out for more parents' lunches throughout the year.

Woodgate Remembrance Garden
Wed 10 Oct 2018Parents that have walked in through the main gates or have come up to the school office may have noticed the new Remembrance Garden that has just been created.
This a peaceful space that we are developing to provide a place for children, parents and staff to go to in times of remembrance - possibly to think about someone that they have loved and lost. We will also use it for key Remembrance days to remember fallen soldiers. Over time we will plant more plants in and around the garden and will be adding plaques.
We are thankful to Education Staffing Link, one of the teaching agencies that we use, for supporting the garden by paying for the beautiful sculpture that forms the centrepiece of the garden.
We will be holding an official opening of the garden very soon. Do come and have a look at the garden when you have chance.
