School Grounds Week
Class 2H have really enjoyed school grounds week. They have played in a mud kitchen, Aldi food shop, collected natural objects for Maths games. We did some relax kids activities to help to calm and relax us using the outdoor area. The children enjoyed refreshing some minibeast homes we have in school. They added new straw, leaves and twigs. Have a look when you collect your child as we have made a lovely Minnie Mouse scarecrow.
Thursday 28th September
Today 2T enriched our school grounds by making bird feeders. We used different ingredients to make our bird feeders, we will let them set overnight and they will hang from trees around school to encourage birds into our school grounds and to ensure the the birds have food for the colder months.
Wednesday 27th September
Today, the children begun to make their scarecrow. All children were given the chance to work together in groups to build their scarecrow using the straw and clothes. Look at for the finished scarecrows at the end of the week!
Monday 25th September
Today, the children in 2T enjoyed reading a story outside. They recognised the repeated phrase 'Can I come too?' After this, we went on a bear hunt around our school grounds. In the afternoon, 2T took their learning outside. We had an RE lesson outside. During RE lessons, we have been thinking about and discussing the importance of listening. We used all of our senses and discussed what we could hear, see, touch, smell and how we felt.
