Woodgate Remembrance Garden
Wed 10 Oct 2018Parents that have walked in through the main gates or have come up to the school office may have noticed the new Remembrance Garden that has just been created.
This a peaceful space that we are developing to provide a place for children, parents and staff to go to in times of remembrance - possibly to think about someone that they have loved and lost. We will also use it for key Remembrance days to remember fallen soldiers. Over time we will plant more plants in and around the garden and will be adding plaques.
We are thankful to Education Staffing Link, one of the teaching agencies that we use, for supporting the garden by paying for the beautiful sculpture that forms the centrepiece of the garden.
We will be holding an official opening of the garden very soon. Do come and have a look at the garden when you have chance.

Feedback was very positive. We will be holding another workshop during a morning session for those parents that were unable to attend yesterday afternoon. How nice to see you all!
Fri 05 Oct 2018It has been lovely to see so many parents in school over the last week or so for different events.
We have seen parents and grandparents at informal coffee mornings, at the book fayre buying books and at workshops to support their children's learning.
We appreciate the time that you give to come and support school events in particular those that involve you supporting your child's learning. The more that you know about what and how your child is learning, the more you can help them to achieve their full potential.
Thank you.

Books! Books! Books!
Fri 28 Sep 2018Our 2 day book event has been a huge success as it is every year. All classes have attended a workshop about Africa and learnt about traditions and customs and shared stories from Africa.
The books on sale are excellent quality and value and it's lovely to see so many children browsing and buying books. Any commission we earn will be used to buy more books for the classrooms and library to support our topics. Thank you for your support.
