Woodgate Voices Star Performers
Thu 08 Nov 2018Our Choir, 'Woodgate Voices' have delivered two wonderful performances this week. Yesterday they led our Remembrance Afternoon with poetry and songs. The event was well attended and enjoyed by parents, grandparents and Governors. It was a thought provoking and moving performance.
Today they have been to Bartley Green Social Club to perform to a group of local residents. A great time was had by all including a sing a long of many old war songs including 'Pack up your Troubles', 'We'll Meet Again' and 'White Cliffs of Dover'. The children looked wonderful in their new Choir T shirts with their own logo. We are very proud of them.

It's Good to be Green!
Fri 26 Oct 2018If your child brought home one of these certificates today you should be very proud of them. It means that they have been on Green or Gold on the Behaviour Zone board at least 90% of the time this half term. Well done to everyone that achieved this. Lots of children have been on Green or Gold every single day!

Year 4 Harvest Performance
Thu 18 Oct 2018Well done to Year 4 staff and pupils. They performed a wonderful Harvest Festival which was jam packed with information, songs, readings and acting. The clear confident voices were heard throughout the hall and the singing was beautiful, with a good mixture of new songs and old favourites. The Harvest food that has been collected will be donated to the Food bank at St. Michael's Church for local families in need.
If you know anyone that may benefit from a food parcel please call into school for a confidential referral form.

Parents' Lunch for Year 2 and Year 5.
Wed 17 Oct 2018We had a wonderful turn out yesterday for parents' lunch.
The children really enjoyed having an adult with them to enjoy the roast dinner.
Parents particularly enjoyed the chocolate concrete and pink custard, telling us that it reminded them of their own school days.
A big thank you to the cooks for preparing these extra meals.
Watch out for more parents' lunches throughout the year.
