Many of you will have seen yesterday and today on the news, the tragedy in Solihull where a number of children fell through ice on a frozen lake. Sadly, 3 of those children aged 8, 10 and 11 have died.  A 6 year old is still in a critical condition and others are being searched for. 

Our thoughts go out to the families and the community affected by this dreadful tragedy.

As the weather conditions are likely to remain at freezing and icy for a while, please talk to your children about the dangers of walking on ice covered lakes and ponds and make sure you know where they are going to play when they are out without an adult.
