Welcome from the Head Teacher Mrs D Colley
Whether you’re a first time or frequent visitor to our website, I'd like to take this opportunity on behalf of everyone involved in our school to welcome you to the Woodgate community.
We hope that you find our new site pleasing to look at, easy to navigate through, interesting and helpful. We hope you will visit it often to get information about new events and changes at the school. It is still a work in progress and, as such, evolving all the time.
You may also wish to find out some of the ways we do things (and why) and to see regularly updated examples of children’s work and images of children working and enjoying life at Woodgate Primary School.
Here at Woodgate your child is at the centre of everything that we do.
We want your child to achieve all that they are capable of.
Our school motto is ‘Happy, Hardworking, Successful.’
We believe that we can achieve this by forging a strong partnership between home and school, a partnership based on open and effective communication. Our website is a big part of this communication.
Success in the education of your child depends, at least in some part, on your involvement.
If your child sees that you are enthusiastic about their education, they are far more likely to view their schooling in a positive light, and be more receptive to learning.
The information that follows will begin to show you how we can work together to achieve the best possible outcomes for your child.
I extend a warm invitation to you to come and see us at work. If there is anything you ever need to discuss, or anything you wish to share, our doors are always open.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I strongly suggest that you now go back to the home page where you can really start to explore the many more interesting items on our website.
